Bye, Sweden
SWEDEN folks! Been there done that—smörgåsbords, Swedish fish, pickled herring, Volvos up the yinyang.. wait..
Just kidding.
I LOVE THIS PLACE! Give me more!
The pizza places, always oddly coupled with kebab. Chokladbollar [chocolate balls] with my kaffe [coffee] (and I demand many påtår—that is, REFILLS, please!) Their election with so many danged parties—too many to count. (Please, I’m American—I’m used to TWO parties, slight variations on the same crappy theme, sliced, diced and packaged with a crappy label of a dumbass donkey and a pointless pachyderm.) New and exciting dairy products which I can maybe or maybe not eat (gräddfil anybody? how about some FILMJÖLK!—just don’t put that stuff in your coffee!). Let’s not forget the knackebröd! I can fully attest to the fact that it is NOT A CRACKER! This is the stuff smörgås are made of. AND BERRIES! Many kinds of exciting berries to eat here.
But alas, here we are in Poland. Actually, Krakow rocks my socks, too! Awesome couchsurf hosts, beautiful cityscape. And everything much cheaper than in Scandinavia.
Still, had to write a little blurb about how awesome Sweden was for us, and why, most likely, we’ll be BACK! Next up: enjoying more of Poland before heading off in less than a week to WWOOF 30km north of Prague (and then enjoy Prague for a week or so).
PS, I wrote the first half of this while in Sweden, and the last part while in Poland, that’s why it’s a bit disjunct. Like my heart. Miss all my friends in Sweden! But onward. That’s what traveling’s about, right? :)
peace, love & skavoovie
