Well hello all! Chris and Lau here. We just got done hitch hiking through the south of France to the starting point of our Camino, Irun, Spain!

 We stopped in Arles (Shout outs to Sylvain!), Toulouse (for the Fete du Musique!), & Lourdes (Hi Mom!) and finally arrived in Irun today. We´ve checked into our albergue and have our pilgrim credentials.

6am wakeup call tomorrow and we’ll be on the road to San Sebastian. We’re doing the Camino de la Costa which is one of the many routes of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela.

Oh, yeah. We realize we haven’t updated things in a bit (since MARCH!)…. So, update: we left Istanbul on June 2nd. Arrived in Athens, Greece for 4 days, then off to Thessaloniki (and a small town on its outskirts, Gallikos, where we got over 100 mosquito bites each!)…

Then it was off to Rome for 4 days. We couchsurfed in Fregene, a small beach community an hour by public transportation away. Then a cheap easyJet flight to Venice, where we walked around all night, not having found a couchsurfer to crash with. Train to Milano for another day, then another 10 hours of train riding the following day to Arles. Whew!

Anyhow, gotta run. Our albergue closes in 30 minutes (8pm here!).
